“L’île aux pistaches” is a short movie filmed with Super 8 during travel on Greece in Juny 2022.
The title “L’île aux pistaches” (”Pistachio Island”) is explained by the fact that there were many pistachio trees in Greece, particularly on Aegina, an island off the coast of Athens. The Greeks use the richness of the pistachio to make sweet and savoury based culinary specialities. They pay tribute to the product by painting the doors and shutters of their houses green.
This short movie is a soothing journey where my SUPER 8 tests its limits in the heat of climat’s June in Greece (update: the reel got damaged during the journey).
